Important
Note: Updates should only be made by authorized representatives of the company being updated. You will need a valid credit card to act as your digital signature on the document when you electronically file, however there will be NO CHARGE assessed to your card. We accept VISA or MasterCard.

Biennial Update
  • If you have received your Biennial Update Package and you need to perform your Biennial Update.
    Requires a credit card, PIN, and Biennial Update Package, no charge.
    Credit card information that you provide will be used to establish your identity and generate a digital signature on the updated MCS-150 form. Please note that your digital signature is just as legally binding as your signature would be on any other document. This option should only be chosen if you have received the Biennial Update Package.
Personal Identification Number (PIN) Request
  • If you do not have a PIN, or if you have received a PIN and wish to change it for any reason (for instance, if it has been forgotten or compromised), please go to
    Credit card information that you provide will be used to establish your identity and generate a digital signature on the updated MCS-150 form. Please note that your digital signature is just as legally binding as your signature would be on any other document.
Regular Update
  • If you need to update your Motor Carrier Identification Report (MCS-150) information.
    Requires a credit card and PIN, no charge.


    If you have not been issued a PIN you will not be allowed to use this electronic update service. Credit card information that you provide will be used to establish your identity and generate a digital signature on the updated MCS-150 form. Please note that your digital signature is just as legally binding as your signature would be on any other document. Providing false information on the MCS-150 may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Although you will need a valid credit card to electronically file, there will be no charge assessed to your credit card.
  • MCS-150 in HTML format to be mailed or faxed
    Due to the high volume of motor carriers filing paper copies, we strongly encourage you to file on-line.
    Click here to download the MCS-150 Motor Carrier Identification Report and fill it out according to the instructions.
    Complete the form by typing in the appropriate information online and then print the completed form with your local printer. When completed, mail to: Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, Office of Information System Management, MC-RIS, 400 7th Street, SW, Washington, D. C. 20590, or you may FAX to 703-280-4003. Please note-Mailing or Faxing the MCS-150 to any other address may delay the processing of the form.
