HOW TO ORDER A CSP ONLINE

The Motor Carrier Safety Profile (CSP) is available in an electronic version that can be received via e-mail. These can be ordered online at: http://www.safer.fmcsa.dot.gov/CSP_Order.asp A CSP that is ordered in this way will be returned to the user's e-mail address within 72 hours at a cost of only $20.00 per CSP-a savings of 27% off the regular cost. This is payable by VISA, MasterCard, check, or money order. Because this method of ordering a CSP is fully automated and involves no paper, postage or handling, this is the fastest, most cost effective way to get a CSP. Any Carrier Safety Profile questions should be directed to the FMCSA Information Line at 1-800-832-5660. *Note: Motor Carrier Safety Profiles (CSPs) are available to the public under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). However, certain information in the CSP, namely Driver Data, contains private information that is not covered by FOIA and will not be included in a CSP that is disseminated to the public. Of course, a company may have access to its own Driver Data. For this reason, Driver Data will only be released to those who are registered as authorized recipients of that information. To register as an authorized recipient of Driver Data, you need to fax your request to (703) 280-4003. Your request should include the following: It should be on your company letterhead. It should include the USDOT number of your company. The letter must be signed by a representative of the company. If you wish to receive your CSP via e-mail, you should include any e-mail address(es) that you've approved to receive Driver Data information.
